Community Involvement

Highland United Methodist Church, Raleigh

A member since 1976, Jane is the Chair of the Endowment Committee; a member of the Finance, Evangelism, Library and Lay Leadership Ministry Teams a member of United Methodist Women Circle 7. She also teaches Sunday School to various adult classes and volunteers as an overnight host with WIHN (Wake Interfaith Hospitality Network) when families stay at Highland. She is a past chair of the Administrative Board.

Altrusa International of Raleigh, Inc.

Jane is the immediate past President and current Membership Chair of Altrusa, a community service organization with a focus on literacy. She has been a member since 1993. Through Altrusa, Jane volunteers at the Helen Wright Center for homeless women and the Open Door Clinic. Jane volunteers with her fellow Altrusans every year at the International Festival held in Raleigh. Altrusa International of Raleigh, Inc. is part of the International organization’s District Three, comprised of clubs within NC, SC, GA and FL, where Jane was elected to three terms on the District Three Foundation Board, the last term as Chair.

Jane and Frank hold season tickets to Duke football, men's and women's basketball and Carolina Hurricanes hockey.
